Since its founding in 2002, IIPSJ has received support from numerous sources, including law firms, businesses, judges, practicing lawyers, academics, and the students, faculty, and administration of Howard University School of Law.  This support has come in many forms including the provision of space, staff support, ideas, time, and money. In particular IIPSJ has received support through the sponsoring of internships and the participation of many lawyers in the CLE programs as speakers, attendees, and financial supporters.  Internship sponsors are listed on the internship page. Foremost among the supporters who have been critical in getting IIPSJ to this point is the law firm of Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP., and in particular its partners Tom Irving, Christine Lehman, and Esther Lim. In recognition of its support, on February 27, 2004, IIPSJ held a reception honoring the Finnegan Henderson firm for its many contributions.
